Just installed a 9/11 converter, clicked 3 times onto the tranny, seems to be on all the way.
There is about 5/32 " between the converter and flexplate with the tranny completely bolted up.
Is that about right?

we like to see .080 to .120 thousandths of an inch in all applications to allow complete engagement of the pump rotor to the drive hub ,as well as stator tube to stator ,and input shaft to turbine engagement .excessive clearance increasesv the likelyhood of blown front seals ,stator shaft wear, and main bearing thrust failure.www.ckperformance.com

although its late and im half asleep it sounds like a .050 shim is needed to arrive at what we consider to be correct spacing ,although it will work the way it is.www.ckperformance.com
