1. On the Speedo I got a new cluster and want to roll my mileage to the correct mileage. Will need to roll up.
2. I installed a pro stick shifter and will need to tie into backup lights. Using the micro switch on the shifter and will not be using the factory linkage that activates the lights from the linkage to the column. Where is the best way to tie into and how the switch has 2 wires also. Thanks!!!

If you skip the linkage from the shifter to the column, in addition to the reverse lights, you are also disabling the Park/Neutral safety switch and the shifter interlock to the ignition switch.

It has a neutral safety switch on the shifter to will have to wire. But how does everyone else use an after market shifter.. Also win swap to a th 350 or something they don't use the factory linkage.

The P/N starter interlock is mechanical, it prevents the key lock from turning. You can grab the collar and twist it by hand to engage and disengage this safety.

The switch at the base of the column has two switches, one is for the backup lights. This can be tied into a shifter switch.

The other is for the P/N input to the ECM. This is used for various functions such as DFCO and idle speed. The switch grounds the input to the ECM when in park or neutral, and is open when in a drive position. Note that it is not a safety switch, the ECM doesn't care about that.

If you want to use a shifter switch for the P/N safety feature it can be done. Find the wire that runs from the ignition switch to the starter solenoid S terminal. Cut it, splice to both ends and run them to the shifter switch.

Thanks going to try to get the factory linkage to work first.
