I have a precision 6776 dbb. I'd like to take the compressor cover off. Is it as simple as it looks? Unbolt and take off carefully? Can I leave the turbo bolted in place while I pull the cover? I'd like to clean up the cover once off. Any suggestions? For example clear coat, or anodized, or maybe degrease and hit it with a spray can of something from the local autozone. thanx in advance

It comes off easily, just take out the 6 bolts and remove. I just had mine polished , but you could paint, powder coat or beadblast and clear. No need to remove the whole turbo.

Thanks Corey. Just wanted to make sure there wasn't a seal, gasket or whatnot that I would damage

There is an o ring on the cold air side usually they stay in place. I had mine powder coated and it came out nice. Polishing looks really nice.
