Hi guys.. a lil outta place here..

I own the black Dakota R/T that runs in ProGas.. well... when something isn't wrong with it.. argh..

I am wondering if anyone is using the remote data logger for a FAST system here? I know .. Les I think his name is.. TTSBC buick.. has the FAST in it, but not sure about the logger.. I am wondering if using it lets a person set the throttle position for activation more precisely? Logging through the notebook it only activates at 50% as well as the other options aren't adjustable as they show they should be.

Other than that.. is anyone running QA1's on their car here?? I know I am not a buick, nor the same weight or balance, but I am wondering the general setting for the rear. I have had mine on the front for awhile, liked em so much I setup a dealership for them to add to my lil website I am redoing, and just got my rears, just need to put them on.

I am assuming that for race purposes the rears get set pretty stiff to keep the rear from moving to violently all at once. But I might be mistaken in my thinking.

other than that.. hello all.. been around awhile.. just kind of lurking though, haven't posted in about ever. I will be out at the track for the truck race if anyone is in the neighborhood and wants to visit.. better yet, has a truck and wants to race! bring it out!!!

Howzit Ryan!

I know ABSOLUTELY NOTHING about running a FAST, and I'm running stock replacement Bilsteins on all corners, so no help here. :D

Just wanted to say; Nice truck, and fast to boot! I saw you once trailering it with slicks on townbound on H-2, and at the track a few times. :)

LOL.. yip it became a trailer queen.. last November FSCS made me nervous.. figger I was starting to push on it hard enough that if something popped.. it wasn't getting home on it's own! That.. and it takes to long to put together now. hehe..

I am gonna be tryin' reeeal hard to break 11's this Saturday.. just depends on my shift from 1'st.. I think I have that fixed finally. Find yourself a truck to use and come out and play!

The truck I was towing with is "Ol' Ugly", the one I put the Caddy 500 in, I was debating about using a pair of GN turbo's on it for the fun of it someday, one of the Buick guys here mentioned he would have some, or did have a pair that would work.

If I ran across a couple matched stock twerbo's for a sweet deal, I would prolly pick em up to have in my collection of crap.. I mean.. toys.. hehe.. Ol' Ugly just needs about.. 7-8psi then it's rated at about 980 ft lbs at about 2900 rpm.. just right for towing..

:D :p

QA1's

I recently added a set of drag shocks on my GN the fronts are comp engineering and the rears are QA1's, when I contacted QA1 they said to start off at #3 and work your way down.

wow.. so that is opposite of what I thought.. okie.. will give it a shot, thanks.

Was someone out at the track last night? I saw a lil black twerbo Buick playin' around last night while a friend was testing his 87 Dakota.

I have a FAST but no data logger. But I can adjust the start logging point to any parameter and any leve l I want. There us a screen in the program to let you choose the parameter and level. I actually have used RPM as my trigger in the past.

QA1 settings

I've been setting my passenger side rear to 3 and the driver side to 1, with 10 lbs in the passenger airbag. It's done many 1.7 60's and a 1.6 the last time out. Not that fast but they have been working out really well. The shocks can compensate for the air bag and it's a lot easier to adjust.

I also try to run the fronts staggered as well but I'm not sure if that's really making a difference. Maybe if I was making more power it would. The front of the car does seem to lift a little easier at the softest setting.

So far my fronts like to be at about 3 on both sides.. haven't played with stagger on them yet though, when the trans is behaving I used to average 1.72's to 1.699 once.. still on stock rear shocks.. questionable condition.. will have to get the Q's on before the August ProGas race to see how they do. Hopefully I get my replacement valve body in time as well.

A bit quicker 60' and a hard fast shift that is consistant.. I think I can break my 11 second barrier with stock cam and a fat pig!

When I try and rest my data logger activation points on the notebook, they revert back to default settings. Maybe I am missing something.. will try again.
