crank end play

I just installed a new motor(new to me) when I was putting the balancer on the crank moves just enough to notice.probably less than a 16th of an inch. Is this OK?I really don't want to pull this thing out

i think the spec is .003 to .011

Guy you better check that out alittle closer because if it's even 1/32 of an inch that's about .031 and that's way to much. Yes the spec. is .003 to .011 but I don't like to see it that tight, I like to see .005 to .010

Put a dial indicator on it. What 'feels' like 1/16 will most likely be a lot less than .0625"

I got a guy at work bringing me one tom. I think its gonna be within spec the motor just rebuilt about a 1000 miles ago

I just checked it with a caliper I have .010 so I guess I'm ok
