Hi there, ok heres the story i was replacing the waterpump gasket on my Gn today and everythnig went really well, put it all back together and went to start it up and the car wouldnt start!! Soo i started thinking and checking for reasons why it wasnt starting and came to the conclusion that my crank sensor was completely soaked in antifreeze! So my question is will the sensor dry out and will the car start? or do I have to get a new one????? Ive tried blowing on it with an air gun from an air compressor, and it hasnt helped too much!!!!!! So I need help guys, what do I do now?????

umm well i honestly didnt change or touch anything! the only thing i disconnected  was the maf wire to the air intake but connected it back up! I really didnt do anything but take the water pump off and then back on!!!

What came off when you changed out that water pump?

I suggest disconnecting that MAF connection... and looking for bent pins/connection points.

You need to retrace your steps.

what did I take off? the fan pulley, lower rad hose, and the water pump! I will try the maf connection again! but the only thing i can think of is the crank sensor! I didnt touch anything else! the car ran fine untill i changed the water pump!!! :|

For some reason, I was thinking "front cover came off", hence the cam sensor reply.

Are you getting spark?

no the cover never came off, and i think im getting spark the car will crank and crank then pop, sounds like it wants to go but doesnt start!

Have you tried the "No Start" diagnostic tree from the link in the sticky?

If the antifreeze ruined the crank sensor, it was on its way out.
It is designed to work under those "OEM rope seal leaking and splashing oil all over the sensor with serious radiant heat and road grime sticking to the oil on the sensor" conditions.

no i havent tried the diagnostic where is the link at??? ant the crank sensor was pretty much brand new!
