So I got to thinking, I always wanted a GNX, even sitting in 9th grade English class in 1991 reading about GNX's, and then in 1993 dreaming about converting my 1985 Bonneville 3.8L 2bbl with a top speed of 87 mph (interesting indicated top speed wasn't it?) into a LC2 conversion... Today my 87 GN driver car is pretty much all stock, high miles, it's not really a big money low mile collector example now or even to keep as an investment for 20 yrs from now, so why not make a full GNX clone out of it including the gauges, suspension, and sheet metal cutting? Probably throw on some dark charcoal 18 inch ccw's and drop it a couple inches and just have fun with it.

Thats right

Whats stoping you ..

Trying to put together a cost estimate, I think I found all the exterior related items at kirbans and gbodyparts sites but can't seem to find a dash anywhere, is anyone making those as plug n play even with autometer gauges and not SW?

What about the rear suspension? That has to cost some dough! No clone is really complete with no ladder bar. I would be one of those d!cks that would look to make sure too. ;)

I have to say I dont like the way the fender flairs look maybe if the tires fit and were even with them ,but to me it looks like when you put the spair on a car . it makes it look like the wheels and tires dotn fit the car.

I agree i'm not a big fan of body mods on these cars, they have such a clean,(now iconic) look that adding to it ,is taking away from it. imho
But now power mods, thats a whole different story.
