I'm just curious as to what boost psi everyone has their progressive alky kit activating at?

I have mine set to come on about 4 psi, I think its a bit early, seems to come on during the burnout and when I lift it sometimes causes the motor to die. I will experiement with it coming on later.

I'd look into an idle air issue, chip issue.

Mine comes on when I do a burnout as well.. never ever has it died cuase of it.

I have had that happen too! I adjusted my turn on point to 6psi.

Would having it come on earlier on (say 2 or 3psi) help spool time out with a more dense exhaust gas? In other words, lower your baseline and then add in the methanol to come on so it doesn't run too rich but helps with spool up?

I would not think so, too much fuel or unspent gas causes slower spoolup. With Razor's kit, you can wire in a switch which keep sthe alky from coming on such as when doing a burn out or staging, which you can push and supress the alky...but that's yet another buttom to push...already have a line lock and a brake proportioning bypass solenoid so I'm going to just make the alky come on later if I can.

I see.

So if I can safely run 15psi on 91oct then I can set the methanol to start coming in at say.... 14ish? This would give me the best spool and best response times. Or if I turn my baseline down so I can safely make 10psi on 91oct then I would want to do the same thing but at like 9psi. All that sound about right?

Double check your IAC setting. You might have to lower the counts.

With the new found power, the engine is at a higher actual load when you hit DFCO (Deccleratioin fuel cut off), so the abrupt fuel turn off, isn't being caught as well with the IAC (ecm programming). You might try a 0 IAC count at idle, and maybe raising the min idle speed. It might/ will vary by chip, car, combo, as to what works for you.

If it's excessive rich, then that can cause the engine to momentary flood before the DFCO cuts in.

This is one time when a good data log probably would show the answer.
