CV joints or wheel hub noise??

i have a 99 GP GT 3.8 with a noise coming from the front when i drive it, dont think its the cv joints cause its not a clicking sound, more like a big truck tire sound when its going down the road. anyone think its the hub assembly going out? i cant really tell what side its coming from.

Does the noise increase with speed? I just replaced my hub on my 03 seville @ 70,000 miles. It sounded like I had a flat spot on the tire or the wheel was way out of balance. Does the noise increase while going around a turn or curve? If the noise is louder while turning left then the right side would be bad, if it gets louder while turning right the left side would be bad (whatever side the weight of the front end transfers to). Easy to replace, probably less than an hour to do.
