what bulbs do i use to replace factory bulbs, so that dash lights are brighter, number on bulb is 194

thanks in advance

I find the dash light dimmer control on the left side of the dash to have more than enough adjustment to satisfy my needs. I'm reluctant to go for a brighter bulb due to the wiring on thr TR being marginal almost everywhere & brighter bulbs have caused some meltdowns in some applications.

If the dimmer switch doesn't ddo it for you they do sell a brighter bulb, they'll have to tell you the number but there is a brighter on. I think it is 60 something. Drew

LEDs?

I'm seeing more replacement LED units for turn sig/running lights, etc... Maybe a white/non colored LED 194 replacement exists? Might be brighter than incandescent bulbs and the low heat and low power consumption would better match the factory wiring!

Just a thought...

I also saw those LED bulbs but only the 1156 and 1157's. At my local AutoZone they were $15.00 a pair, kind of pricey I thought. LED's are here to stay. They use a tenth of the electricity and are two to three times as brilliant as a standard bulb. You will also see LED's on emergency vehicles instead of the strobes. That's what I'm told!;) Drew
