If you didn't already know.......

PSA - For those of us who hate the DST change it will now be 4 weeks longer starting this year!

DST Begins -
Was: 1st Sun of April
Now: 2nd Sun of March (Three weeks earlier)

DST Ends -
Was: Last Sun of October
Now: First Sun of November (One week later)

Be sure to change your Outlook calendars. Personally, I hate leaving work when it is already dark.

It never made sense to me why Halloween was always in the dark.

That change alone will probably save a couple kids lives.

that is great!! I love the daylight.

SuperCPA as for the photos in your sig. they are a little misleading. if you were to power brake the vetts they would be about as long, the darkness is brand of tires & the wheel spin. the wifes vette with nittos wouldn't leave black marks, but the good years, holy cow!!!

Personally I think the ideal of DST is a PITA.
I messes with what little sleep I get.

Why don't we just change our clocks 30 minutes and forget it?

Here's my 2 cents worth. It's really an outdated idea. Think about it. Maybe 5% of your power bill is lighting. But in the south, during summer, your A/C can easily become 50+% of your bill. So instead of being at work later (within the shared A/C), there's a whole lot of homes turning on the A/C an hour earlier than w/o DST, during the hottest part of the day.
(Mind you, most people don't "turn off" their A/C here, but there are people like me that set it back while gone to conserve energy). To save energy, DST should shift the opposite direction; although I'd prefer not to have it all.

I think it looks great and is very funny.

DST is one of the stupidest ideas I've ever heard.....all I can say is I lived 20 years in a state that mostly did not do the DST thing and everything worked just fine for us...never any problems....until some big wigs finally decided last year all of Indiana would start observing DST.

If I lived in NC I would think daylight savings time is stupid. Here in Michigan we are on the west end of the time zone and DST helps have more evening daylight to enjoy. The real problem is the drawing of the time zones.

the reason I love it so much is for my business rental stores don't open until AM, that gives me 1 hr of daylight to get my normal customers moved then I can haul oversize loads for rental stores up until about 8:45 pm. I personally would not want to have to get started @ AM every morning.
