Just saw an ad for a new DENSO ox sensor.[Aug 02 Chevy HI PERF] The writeup says it has an "aluminum oxide trap layer" that keeps silicone and LEAD outside the ceramic element, preventing damage from race gas or fuel and lead additives.
60 samples per second. PTFE filter that keeps water and engine contaminents out.

Looks to be a multi wire setup. Anyone see it sold w/ a single wire for stock ECM apps??

Just need to screw a set of their split fire spark plugs in and your all set.

FWIW, all the sensors have been as lead proff as possible, up until last year New Zealand ran only leaded fuels, and all the domestic cars were sold there without modification.

It's the additives, by in large that kill the NB sensors, since they run so cool, ie 600dF, where as a WB runs at 1800dF.

I maybe be wrong, but I got other things to try before that sensor.

You want to save sensors just do an open loop chip and take the sensor out, it's just that easy.

Chuck,

There are couple of things that are different from the competition in the element plating process. One is the chemicals used to bond the element and another is the path that the O2 takes to reach the element. In other words there is an improved chemical and physical barrier to "poisoning"....

I will shoot you an email with some more details later...but sooner than last time!
