i don't want to start a big zaino or whomever is better pissing contest. this is merely to show you the before and after differences i got. i bought the car in december of '04.
also please note i have never detailed a cars paint before and have never used any electric buffer devices before. it was always take the car to the spray and pray car wash for the wash rinse, air dry the car taking it home, then applying some sort of liquid wax and buff out with a terry towel. so what i have done and used is a first for me.
pictures were taken with a canon s200 digital elph.
i used
hand wash with meguiars NXT liquid car wash soap
dried car with chamois
applied meguiars clay bar and dried with microfiber towels
applied meguiars #83 compound/polish and buffed with microfiber towel
applied #80 speed glaze and buffed with microfiber towel.
#83 and #80 were applied with the meguiars(porter cable) g100 6" random orbital buffer.
waxed with meguiars liquid NXT wax, hand applied and buffed out with a microfiber towel.
i started around 1230-1pm friday worked until around 6pm, then started at around 930am today and worked until 6pmish. i also did the wheels, glass and interior as well.
