You'll be fine with that TT chip as far as changing to a translator and LS1 maf. I would check all your vacuum lines for any leaks and of course the spring cleaning items!
One other possibility is your ECM is starting to go bad, they don't always set a code when going bad either. A while back my GN acted the same with the stumbling and stuff. I had replaced just about every sensor that you could think of, adjusted everything correctly etc....found out it was the ECM.
