Any 80W-90 is good with a bottle of GM additive. Usually just use whatever gear oil is cheapest, the additive is the important part. 210k on the stock rear and no issues.

When I changed the lube in the rear (posi) I though about the application a bit. Our cars produce prodigious amounts of torque. As such I went with Valvoline 85W140 petroleum oil. The heavier weight just due to the level of torque the drive train is subject too.

So far so good. Have been running 21 psi, and expect to be in the high 20's this Summer.

Used 140 in my old car and put thousands of miles on it, put 80 in this one and so far so good.

Posi diffs don't need a special lube base on the amount of torque they are subject to. They need the lube to allow the clutches to slip during turns when the wheels rotate at different rates of speed.

I went with synthetic, which stated it was designed for posi so thinking I may not need additive. This post is very helpful, if I sense any chatter I'll simply add the additive. This post has a lot of good information in one spot, I searched much in the past to find similar information.

Again, I tried this years ago and never got rid of chatter until I used Lakewood BFL. I've used it ever since.

The posi from Eaton says not to use synthetic. Not sure what you have though, Im sure it will be fine.
