differences in 2004r trannies

Hey all,
are there any differences in the trannies?
When I read this forum it sounds like there are different valve bodies in them.

The transmissions are used in different cars (and trucks?). Therefore there is a need for different shift programing. - IMO

Well I have a 85 OG tranny. What does this mean?

I`ve got one it works fine, just takes some tweaking. OG is supposed to be the least desirable of the lot. It has low shift points & a small servo. All can be changed though.

Ok, then I´ll need a new, bigger servo and a shift kit, right?
