2004r heavy consumer

Hi I could use some good advice. I have destroyed my third 2004r.. This time the forward drum shaft I think? no gears.. the last one was a Stage3 from lonnie EA. It is a street car and I drive on highways alot.. I maybe take it to a track 1 time a year .. I live in Denmark so I can't get my transmissions rebuild anywhere. What would be best the 4l80 or th400.

The one thing I can say is don't race it in Overdrive, if you're going to romp on it, run it in Drive.

If you drive the highway a lot then you don't want a Turbo 400.

Yes the od will be missing on the highway with a TH400. But the 4L80 costs 5900 and almost 1000 in shipping and then we have the famous 20% tax on top. That's a lot of money. especially if it does not last many years. I don't know how strong it is?, it says up to 1500hp..
My GN has never ridden with alky so hasn't been above 18psi or had slicks on a track. But still, my 2004R couldn't stand my street driving more than 4-5000miles. And it should last up to 1000hp. I changed the atf every 1000-1500mils when it smelled or had changed color. Also don't have heat problems. but I don't drive nicely... My right shoe is heavy.. wish I was a transmission rebuild master.

Sounds like you need a reverse manual 400 with a gear vendors OD. If you're killing 200's at 18psi there's something not right. What did EA say when you talked with them?
