Digital Dash Question

JSTA6 you got me second quessing myself My buddy is going to buy a good digital dash because his is burn up.I changed them before but I dont remember if I can take the odometer from the broken one and put it on the good one so the milage is correct.I thought I could but Im not forsure.Thanks for your help.
