Where does this gauge get its signal from? Is there a wire from the coil pack to the gauge? If not where should i start looking to find out the cause?

Eric

Should have searched first. Seems this is a common problem. I'll be getting it serviced at Casper

Before doing that check 2 things.

First chack your dash lights. If the dash light control is flaky, it will sometimes cause the boost tach to not work.

Second. Open the hood. Go to the drivers side behind the alternator. In that bundle of wires running along side the engine behind the alternator you should find 2 wires. One brown with a brown connector and a green connector with 2 white wires. Make sure these are not plugged into each other. If they are unplug them and your tach should come back alive. This is a common issue too. Hope this helps.

Check the sensor on you passenger side fender panel it has a vacuum line going to it. It's your map sensor I had the same problem.
