direct scan???

hello guys,
I have direct scan, b/c it came with my car. Would you guys recommend this over scan tool, or vice verse? I dont really know how to use or know what im looking for when i have it hooked up. So could you guys give me some pointers on what to do and what all i can do with both?

It is a great tool, but requires a laptop. Scanmaster is a easier tool to use and can stay fixed in the car.

I use both.

I haev both, A Scanmaster and the Direct Scan. I believe each has their purpose. I use the Direct Scan for tuning/racing/trouble shooting, while my Scanmaster does the babysitting when I'm out cruising. The direct scan cant be beat for it's fast update rate and sheer quantity of info, and it's ability to record a run. It can be a pain at times since like mentioned before, it does require you to have a laptop up and running and isn't something that you should be messing with as you go down the road. The Scanmaster Lets me keep an eye on my O2 numbers and KR all the time, without taking my eyes off the road.
