Directional light. Stange problem.

I noticed today that my left turn signal was staying lit up on the dash. I put the directional lever down and still stays lit and it doesn't "blink". The right side is fine.
I then notice that my left side marker light is out. ( the side marker that "blinks" when the directional is on.) Will installing a new bulb fix both problems or is there more to this?

I thought maybe the directional indicator stays lit on the dash as a warning that the bulb is out.

oh ya, the rear lights work fine but the rear left doesn't "blink" either when i use the left directional lever.

Definitely the bulb. I had the same problem about three weeks ago. Either the bulb didn't blink at all, or every 10 seconds or so. Swapping bulbs took care of it.
