VIN A 109's use a distributor.
VIN 7 109's use coilpacks.

You can check the 8th digit of your VIN to see which one you have.

Thanks! I try to be as thorough as possible to avoid confusion. Lets just hope he has a genuine VIN 7 car...

the car is right now a 307 v-8, i bought a 87 109 block to build for it, so vin #'s won't help me

Oh...well then, the 87 VIN 7 turbocharged 109 engines have coil packs.

OK then, turbo 109's from the factory had coil packs. NA cars had a dizzy.

i saw your post about the prostars, found your # and gave it to a friend of mine who was interested, he called you, but after checking backspacing he decided he didn't want to notch his frame. well at least i gave it a shot trying to help u sell and him finding the rims he wanted, also thanks 4 the help on my post
