Today i ended up taking out the alarm on my car. My two transmitters dont seem to disarm the car anymore. They gave out within 6 months of each other one at a time.
I have a red led on my dash, the shock sensor i have says audiovox, the alarm module i took out had no identification and was located far under the driver's side kick panel area. It had three connectors to it. One big one and two small ones.
I have the security display on my instrument cluster which blinks when door is open. If i play with the door cylnders the horn honks and only way to stop it is to turn the key on the door cylnder. Doors unlock and lock automatically when key is in the ignition.
The led light on the transmiiter is bright. Is it normal for transmitters to give up? And is this the factory alarm?
