Do I need the AC compressor Wires??

I'm not running AC in my car the harness plug for the compressor is shot. The one wire is ripped off so I just cut the clip off. It's the one with the diode attached. Not sure if its the same green wire that runs to the high fan relay. I was just going to tape it up and hide it in the wire loom.

With it being the one with the diode, it is for the compressor clutch. It isn't the one that goes to the fan relay. There is a switch on the compressor with three wires that goes to the fan relays.
