Does anyone know if Mark87GN still visits this board? I think I bought an 87 GN that he used to own.

Thanks, Dean

I may know him, if you are talking about a guy from Pearl, MS.

If so, then yea. Mark comes by the house every so often to talk about cars. I don't think he is on too often since selling the GN.

I found his phone number on some receipts I had with the car. I called him to let him know the car found a good home. He was happy to hear what the car ran at the track since he had never ran it at the track. Really nice guy and he was glad I called him...........he sure misses his car! It's in good hands Mark!

Now now, you cant make a post like this, with the words ''He was happy to hear what the car ran at the track since he had never ran it at the track. ''

Without telling us what it ran....

Sorry, forgot. WIth the current, safely tuned engine, it ran 12.5 @ 111mph on pure street tires @ 18 lbs of boost. It only was able to hook for a best 60' time of 2.1, keep in mind that this is a Grooms girdled engine with a PT61 turbo, so I know it has a lot left in it...........

Mods coming very soon to the car are a set of drag radials, new Pro Torque 3200 stall converter, alcohol injection and a Turbo Tweaks alky chip. I figure all of those goodies with about 25psi will ge the car close to 10's.......

Thanks.

Kinda on the same lines..

I recieved a phone call yesterday from the man i purchased this white limited from 5-6 years ago.... Must have talked for an hour on the phone.

Long story short, he was extatic to hear how little miles ive put on the car since ive owned it 6-700 and he wanted to buy it back.... He is 64 years young and purchased the car in 87 with 3,000 miles

I explained him i couldnt part with it, and then told him how well it was running these days. He was floored how well the car is running, and knew i had been taking real good care of it since i purchased it.

Man id really like to get it running even better and keep him up to date on the cars progress.

This was the first ive spoken with him since i purchased the car, really nice guy and a car nut like me.

He currently has the same wheels on his 61 vette as i do on my white limited

Had to share:biggrin:
