Do you need to Buy a shift kit?

So Why do people buy shift kits and Do I need one? I always thought a shift kit just makes a car shift harder, but not faster? RT? My tranny is apart at Turbo Buick Performance and always see guys asking about shift kits?

You are in good hands at David's place.
A "shift kit" is different things to different manufacturers. Many address the "short comings" of a stock transmission. It is a way to upgrade/modify a trans for better/harder/quicker shifts without having to piece together parts. Some are better than others, some are more complete. Some don't address all the issues. Just depends on your needs, use of the vehicle and your expectations.
You should discuss this with David. I know he will have you where you want to be.
