trailer

kevin, we[my wife] has a 30 ft horse trailer with living quarters that weights 10,000 lbs empty, two big horses add about 2100 lbs she pulls it with a old 1990 4x4 2500 hd chevy, truck that has 170.000 miles on it, truck has 8 ply tires. it dont sway, pulls good you have to turn corners a little different than a bumper pull. when you hook it to the truck it lowers the truck less than two inches, the old truck gets about 6 to 7 mpg as it dont have a overdrive trans, my trailer is a 24ft inclosed car trailer weight is 8000 loaded, my truck is a 2500 hd 4x4 ext cab, with a 6 litre and 4.10 rear pulls good but i have to use anti sway bar and load levelrs , good luck oc, :)

one thing I will tell you is once you tow a gooseneck, you will never want a tag along. I have 2 gooseneck trailers. one is a 22' hydraulic tilt 10,000 gvw low pro car trailer, loaded with a Buick & all the tools & gear weighs 7,000# & it pulls like a wet dream. the other trailer is a 42' enclosed loaded with all the gear, car, & necessary BS it weighs 11,000# & it actually pulls even nicer because it's a tri axle. these 2 trailers are pulled with an 03 6.0 PSD F350 @ 11.5 mpg.
