Years ago when I first got my GN I used one of the widely available "kits" that most stores like Walmart, Autozone, Pep Boys, Frys, and even CarToys etc all sell.....prices vary but they're all usually the same cheap plastic junk...they last a few years (in my experience)...they squeak and rattle...get brittle from hot and cold...eventually start cracking and fall apart. Does anyone know where to get a QUALITY single DIN mounting kit for these cars? Preferably made of metal or at least better than the crap multi-vehicle kits they sell at most electronics chains? I really dont want to fabricate one but I just might have to.

Here is what I did and it mounts solid

Looks good.....I ended up fabricating something similar although not quite as nice as yours.

Have you tried the kits made by Metra, been using those for years and never had such problems.
