Doing the 87 ECM Swap

Hey all you Hot Air Folks......There is an 87 ECM on ebaymotors right now. There is also a Kenne Bell Chip on there. I wanna get both. Any advice??? I am a new Hot Air Owner.....Thanks!

i would get yourself and 87 ecm off the board from someone who is well know and you can trust. as far as the chip kenne bell chips are out of data. get a Turbo Tweak Chip.

In case you did not know -- Get a scantool!!!!!!!
Many have blown their motors without one , thinking "convert to IC'd", and STILL need the scantool.

don't pay extra $$$ for a "GN" ecm from ebay.. head to the closest junkyard and fine an ecm out of one of the many other more pedestrian cars that used hte very same ecm. i know of one junkyard that has 4 of them for $40 each- and one of those is a brand new in the box reman Delco unit.
