Wondering if there is anywhere one might suggest getting a donor 2004r for an 87 Turbo Buick.

I would love to take one of the CK manuals and rebuild to me spec's, the onslaught of mechanically inclined people traveling this path has inspired me.

Thanks for any feed back.

I'm sure the more tranny inclined members might be able to give a better response, but the only donor car for a BRF 200-4R is a Turbo Regal / Trans Am to my knowledge.

The valve body is different, but I've heard a rumour that the Monte SS one is only slightly different.

The CZF Monte SS tranny is a good one to build..they are programed to shift slightly higher and downshift slightly sooner than a BRF..doubt you'd be able to tell the difference. They will need a bigger servo..upgrade to the stock GN one at least. Also, you'll need to change the plug on the case too,as the Monte unit only has t/c lock up in the 4th,which isn't a bad thing.I'm currently running a CZF in my 87 GN until I have the cash to do over the original BRF the right way.

I have a 442 2004r tranny for sale if interested. pretty close to the GN trans.
