Door lock stalk

My door lock stalk rattles ridiculous inside the hole...is there a way to fix that...maybe shim it up a lil bit

Take off the upper door panel and attach a piece of thick felt or cloth over the hole. Then make a small hole in the middle of it just large enough for the stalk to pass through.
