door panels and speakers

Not sure where to place this but, I am thinking of changeing all my speakers out, How do you change the door ones? Does the whole door panel have to come off, or just the part portruding from it that the speaker is behind. Also what speaker sizes are in there? Any helop will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

On the system I have you have to take both the upper and lower door panel off of the car. Three bolts and a wiring harness and you are there.

You have to be careful with the type of speaker you put in the door unless you fabricate a custom mounting bracket. Crutchfield is probably the best place to go so you can line up what will fit in your particular application.

5 1/4" if I remember correctly, be careful of the mounting depth.
