Door window guide

Have any of you guys had repeated problems with the door window guide breaking.
I've had two break in the last few weeks. Trying to get the passenger window to seal and keep breaking this part.

The second one that I broke was from another window that I had so I just replaced the entire window.

I'm a little reluctant about buying the part again and breaking it again. These things are 15 bucks each.

Has anyone used something else for part with any luck? Thanks

No I've read about the adjustment book but I don't have it.

I was thinking about trying to fab something to replace this part.

I have spent so many hours trying to get this window to seal. I don't mind buying the book if it really works.

I'm thinking if you are breaking an new not-brittle-part that perhaps you are asking that part to do something it wasn't meant to do?
But I'm not a body man ( not that kind) hopefully one chimes in.

I haven't broken a new part yet. Both were old ones that most likely came with the windows.

Maybe I'll just order one and try it.

I would try a new one, pretty sure I broke an original just cleaning the loose glass.

Does the book really help or will I end up reading the book and still end up just using trial and error til I finally get it.

Did you get the window adjusted properly?

hello people; If you get that window rattle book do tell how you like it. IMO that book should be here on file for people to see. Is there a file section here of fixes, tips or whatever to make life with a TB better?
