How do i get my laptop to operate in DOS?
I can get it to the dos prompt but what is the command for dos?
Never had a computer in the 70s so i do not know!

With the windows 98 program it is impossible to adjust anything on the dfi.......keep getting time out errors etc.

Once you get to the command prompt, you should see something like this:

C:

What are you looking to do? DOS has specific commands that it recognizes; Windows basically groups those commands into functions that can run on the GUI (Graphic User Interface).

Yes i have come to realize that.
My cd rom on the laptop does not work and i have the calmap on a floppy disk but cannot get the right command for it.......get an error and then 3 choices, one of which is to try again.
I get the error with A:\CALMAP.EXE

I was having quite a good time getting no where with it :tongue:
