So the double pumper wiring was a mess on my car when I purchased it, as was the rest of the wiring, I stripped all of the wiring out that was not original. Now I need to rewire the doublepumper....So my thought is this to make it clean, safe and simple. Order another hotwire kit from caspers, modify the wiring to attach to the doublepumper, use the + wire from the factory pump to switched terminal on the relay then use the pressure switch under the hood to complete the relay ground to turn the pump on at 10psi. Any thoughts on this? That should be safe and simple, as well as a good clean install? Thanks, Ryan

Well last night I sat down and wired my double pumper how I had thought of, nice clean install, should have my chip back from Eric tommorow so ill test it then, but with my power probe adding the ground it works well, so it should be a slam dunk.....An installed picture...

I have never wired a double pumper but the method you described should work just fine.

I like the snubber diodes accross the relay coils of all added relays as well. Reduces voltage spiking that can occur when they turn off.

" use the + wire from the factory pump to switched terminal on the relay "

This part I didn't really understand but if you are using the factory wiring as the trigger to your pump #2 relay (+) on the coil side that will work fine.

All the heavy switched power should be done on the heavy wire from the alternator to the pumps feed directly on the N/O contact side of the relay.

Good luck with it. :)

Thats exactly how I did it, I just used 2 caspers hotwire kits and modified one, both go directly to the alternator, im using the pressure switch to complete the ground to switch the relay, should do the job well...I hope! Lol
