I just installed my new DP, and i think its hitting the heater box shield, how have you guys modified it so it dosnt hit it anymore?, mabye something to bend it a bit so the DP clears it?

I have one that fit perfectly on the original car....I took it off that car and just recently put it on another. It was hitting the firewall/body. I marked where it was hitting, removed it, heated it with a torch and tapped it flat in this spot. Lots of clearance now.

Remove the shield. Many of the TH downpipes require this.

yeah i was thinking of removing the shield alltogether

Mine does the same with poly mounts and I'm going to dremel a little to get the clearance.
