Should I drill some drain holes in the partition for the rear sump of a cast aluminum Art CArr pan? It looks like tranny fluid will be trapped in the rear mini sump and be isolated from the rest of the fluid in the main sump. Also during fluid changes the oil would be trapped. Doesn't seem right. Also I'm putting in a 700R4 filter but it sits on an angle to the floor of the pan. One side of the filter is contacting the head of a valve body bolt. Will that hurt anything? I would hate for the bolt head to wear a hole in the plastic top of the filter.
