Damn! Why couldnt this have popped up before I just spent 2 hours in the garage replacing the dang motor and adj. the tracks!

Good news is the problem is solved! the window goes all the way up in one flip of the switch! and also goes all the way down and back up! SWEET! I just hope I dont have to do anything else to it!

I also retinted my windows (Another 1.5 hours lol) but man the car is comming around now just need that HR Parts and stuff sway bar! :D

Are the Kirban motors any faster than the factory or are they factory motors? I know mine are slow and weak. Try replacing the rubber molding around the door frame and they will not roll up either. I have to open the door roll the window up then close the door. This too is a pain in the butt.

I didnt try putting the window all the way up with the door closed (didnt think about it) I also have new weather stripes on this side (Didnt get to the pass side yet)

Window goes up pretty good but wouldnt call it fast. Im just happy thing is working again was a real pain to deal with if it started to rain while I was out or if I went to a shady area to watch a race I want my damn windows up and the car locked! NOW I CAN without setting in the car waiting and getting pissed off! :D :p  ;) :D

Another issue could be the regulator. My regs was bent up and really loose. I replaced them with some used Regal regs and replaced the motors with Kirbans motors. I've yet to see how well it works. I should know something today or Monday.

I was on u tube an a guy put a relay on both window motors and it seemed to do the trick,I'm going to try it before I buy new motors.

Its funny....that power windows were billed as an option on our cars when in reality they are slower and more problematic than simple crank windows...

I think it was a weight saving feature that they used either underpowered motors or whatever in our doors...it is true the 1978-1979 Regal motors are real quick years ago I had a set put in one of my personal Turbo cars...its not a simple task I had Pete do it better known as the window rattle guy who old timers will remember would go with us to the GS Nationals and be kept busy the entire week fixing window issues....the guy was amazing and one of the few that knew what to do.

The issues only get worse as these cars age...

The new window motors we sell as a rule are quicker than the stock ones....but kepe in mind parts in your door can be worn since as the window guide which is a plastic window guide part.
In other words alignment is another part of the equation.

The trick is to have crank windows and a fixed antenna....if you got both of these features you are way ahead of the game and problems associated with both.....my Turbo-T has crank windows....and a fixed antenna....

Its like the pull strap design....no way they tested that thousands of times with no issues....
