Acquired 86 GN in pieces last Spring. I had it painted and put back together with the parts I recieved with the car. Mirrors are adjustable
from inside car and look the same but driver side mirror is on a very noticable angle. It leans downward toward the window at about a 20 degree angle.
Any ideas on what my problem might be? The piece that the mirror mounts to looks OK.
Thanks

Is it the housing or just the mirror that is tilted? If it is just the mirror then you may have a cable binding. My driver side does that sometimes and I can't seem to adjust it enough from the inside. I have to reach out and sortta roll the mirror around in the housing to get it to "center up" where the adjuster works properly again. I never had a problem with the passenger side.

Housing is tilted causing mirror to also be tilted. Works fine but
on an angle. Mirror looks identical to passenger side so I am not
sure if it is the post, post and mirror or could the door be a problem?

The driver's mirror install should be rather straight forward, but here are some possibilities where something could have gone wrong.

If the mirror has been hit in the past it may be out of line, or the gasket between the mirror and the door may be the wrong one causing a poor mounting angle, or one of the cables going from the remote control to the mirror may be disconnected inside the mirror causing an unusual angle on the mirror.
