Driver's side head gasket--blown?

I have never seen a front seal on the GM front cover blow out .. it's installed from behind so how the hell is it goin to push out ???
There is plenty of room behined the balencer for the seal to pop out the cover.
Plug your valve covers and go for a ride see what blows.
Back when I was chasing high blm's, a gm mechanic said to pull out the breathers and plug the valve covers. What a idiot. Blew the front seal right out the cover.
Belive me there is plenty room for the seal to come out.

With your expierence this would never happen. You would never plug off your crankcase ventalation.

72 Firebird, the parts should be in this week from John's Performance, so if you can make it work that would be great!

Double checked the area and did not see any seal out in that area.

John validated the oil check tube as where the oil most likely came out.
