put in drive shaft loop and now when i hit second gear the driveshaft bounces around in the loop then quits what could this be i got it from jays gn

Are the rear tires centered in the wheel housings? Not front to back but side to side, do the wheels stick out the same from each fender lip? Perhaps the rear axle is shifted to one side. Mine was of a little and new upper control arms helped out a lot.

they look the same it ojnly does this when i hit second real hard when i feel around it i have 2 1/2 inches under the loop and 1/4 inch on top away from the drive shaft

I am by no means an expert, but it sounds to me like one of the motor/trans mounts is loose. Other than that I have no more ideas for you.

had similar with my lkirban oop
mounts were new , HR poly driverside , pioneer passenger side ,
new trans mount
n mine there was only little clearance at the top , wouldnt hit all the time but it hit the back edge of the shaft yoke ears . would hit more when I had a passenger .
besides the driveline mounts my car has new body mounts but the frame might be tweaked a little so I cant blame kirban for my clearance issues .

you may have a sagging floor pan or body mounts

I ended up pulling the loop back out and modified it , cut grooves in the top where its bent to weaken it and at the top center and then bent it in from the sides with a BFH , when i was done it looked more like a roof at the top ,and then welded it back where i cut grooves.
other car has a metco loop (big ring) and has no issues .

When I put on the Duttweiler loop I bought from Poston it rubbed the d.s. during sharp turns. I had to make some modifications (not to the loop) to make it work.

my body bushings are smashed and split they are 1/2 to 3/4 inch thick i think its time for new ones. i have 1/4 inch space above the yoke and 1 1/2 inch below the yoke i think my floor is to low.

Dont worry its not just your car  EVERY focking car Ive seen with the Kirban loop will RUB like a mofo

You would think they could get it right. It's not all that hard and there's room to make it a little bigger...

same problem

with all new body bushings and the rear end raised with extra stiff coil springs and air bags the damn loop hit when making sharp turns too. It cost more to have it modified and put back on then it did to buy it.
