I've read that the reference number is different with DS than some other scan tools making your minimum O2 numbers different. What WOT O2's should I be trying for? Thanks.
DS uses the same calibration as TurboLink, which uses the same as the old OTC2000 which was actually wrong . So with DS and TL, tune for say 790-800 mV with pump gas and 780-790 with race gas. Start rich and with low boost and work your way to a good tune, using the O2's as just one guideline. Watch for knock retard and esc counts, look at the plugs, and go in 1 psi steps. Once you get a good tune, then you can use the O2's to make sure nothing has changed, and to keep the tune - if the ambient temperature, boost, and fuel pressure are the same as last time, then the O2's should be close to the same. If it cools off some, the boost may stay the same or go up a little, and you will see the O2's drop as the motor leans out some - either bring the boost down or fuel up depending on your octane.
