Is there actually a gear for the shifter to pop into for OD are is OD the lockup converter

The 2004R has three forward gears, plus OverDrive, plus the lock-up converter. Oh yeah, it also has reverse.

Ok just wanted to make sure I took it to a trans shop and they said it was working fine but it tachs about 3k rpm @75 when it is suppost to be in OD. I have got under the car and shifted it on the trans and there is five shifts but noe 6 being 1 2 3 OD N R

I don't know what is going on

The car is suppost to be all factory

Check out the above link. They show what a proper tranny should look like.
And don't go by the factory tach to figure out what rpms you are doing at 75mph. They are pretty much useless. They can be repaired, but are usually pretty inaccurate.
Your linkage might just be a little messed up, and you can't feel the detents for one of the gears. Try shifting through the forward gears while you are moving, and see if you have the 4 you are supposed to.
