I leave at about 7 - 10 psi on drag radials. It's all about how you have your car set up.
Things that matter are:
Track Prep,
tire prep
tire pressure
airbag pressure
difference of weight on each tire(gas, spare, etc. affect this)
posi traction
rear suspension bushings
lower control arms
pinion snubber
rear sway bar
rear shocks
Brakes
boost
torque converter
header leaks
fuel pressure
chip
front end travel
Burnout
launch technique
You need to get a handle on the above and probably more things that I can't think of off the top of my head, just to be able to properly and consistantly launch a car.
It's not hard, but it requires actual track time to perfect a setup. Talking about it can only get you in the ballpark. Actually trying stuff puts numbers on the board.
