How do you remove the rear ebrake cable. I need to remove the rear axle and that's all that's holding me up.

Take the cable off the parking brake arm and slide a small hose clamp on the cable to the clips that are holding it to the backing plate. tighten the clamp until the clips are all pushed in and then pull the cable out and then loosen the clamp. You might have to pry it a little if the clamp is too tight. It sounds stupid but it works great.
 
You can use a 13mm wrench to close the clips in so it slides through.
