I am going to install my new spal fans but do not want to place them directly over the radiator core. Afraid that over thime they will rub the core and cut it. Does anyone have any ideas on how to put a seal on the fan to the core so it can not cut the core.
Thanks
Sal

Not sure if this is what you need, but I have seen the foam tape stuff used for windows - foam insulation tape to seal the gap between the core and fan.

I have used soft rubber vacum line. Split it with a sharp utility knife ans push it on the rim.

Get the black stick-on foam at OSH or Home Depot. It resists reasonable heat and has much better adhesive than some of the cheapo white or felt stuff. Available in different thicknesses (I used 3/8"High X 3/4" wide) and it is under $5.

I like the split vacuum tube idea as well, as long as it is not on a sharp edge.
