E85 engine operating temperature (tstat)

I was told at one point to not put a 160 degree Tstat in my car because the e85 Will contaminate the oil?

Is there a minimum temperature the engine should run at for e85?

I am curious about this to . I have a theory about low coolant temp and the E85 Goo that some ppl seemed to get . I personally run a 160* and have the fans come on at 185 .

I'm running a 160 but my car generally gets to 170ish when getting on it a little.

Just curious because seems like my oil smells like gas pretty quickly

I changed back to a180 because of emissions and my car runs just as well as with the 160. It seems the soot in my oil is less than before. I know the car runs cleaner as my emissions are superbly clean on the printout.
