Does an EGT help you tune on the street? or does it only help at the track?
Thanks for the help, I need it

ZAK

Its more reliable to tune in a car on EGT temps vs 02 MVs. Im still waiting on mine.

I think it's hard to use either on the street (unless you find a good spot for a full out blast or keep the car in 3rd gear) so the
temp or even the o2 voltage will settle out so you can tell where you are at (either rich or lean).

Under normal street driving because of shifting of the car and not holding the peddle down long enough to see where your reading will settle out it's hard. I have found with different chips that under highway driving my EGT would read different also and this has to do with timing and fuel (example at 65 and different chips the EGT would read from 700 to 900) this don't mean yours should read in this range but you do see changes.

Take Care
