Hey guys!

I have been resizing my photos using Picture it! 7.0. But, it is real time consuming and I kind of have to guess at it and at times still cannot get it into the right size/limit.

Is there anything out there that will let me format my photos easily?

What I mean by easy is, can I set it at say 500 x 640 or whatever, and it will fit it to that size? Or, say I need it under 150k...

Something that will allow me to maximize the available space easily.

I did a search here and there wasn't anything. I searched the web and there is like a million choices out there and I have really bad luck picking stuff

What do you guys use?

Thanks,

Vic

If your running XP there's an add on called "Microsoft Powertoys for Windows XP" in it theres a small program called "Image Resizer" thats real easy to use.
Wish I could send ya the link. I think its on the MS site. Try a Google on it.

I downloaded and installed that particular power toy, BUT. Can't find it anywhere

The other power toys I downloaded "TweakUI" and "power calculator" are there on the Start menu "all programs", but the photo resizer is no where to be found.

I don't really need it, because I have MS Office installed and use its Picture Manager to handle all my photo needs, along with the software that came with my new Kodak digital camara, but I'd at least like to look at the resizer.

To use the resizer you have to right click an image file. Then from there chose resize pictures.

http://www.irfanview.com/

This is free, and works really well. You can resize a ton of photos at one time, too, if you want. Has alot of neat features, once you take a little time to figure it out. :)

Phreaker is right

I cic the same thing then read the "read me" thing and it said how to use it. You also have to have your tool bar unlocked.

Then, you right click an image and you now have a "resize image" option - click that and away you go...

Thanks Welby, I will have to try that too.
