Is it me or has anyone else that sells on ebay noticed the begging & crazy offers going on.

I have had more people asking me to donate unsold items to charity or offering less than 1/2 off asking price.
Or They will buy it if won't charge shipping.

all seem to be newbies with under 30 FB's

I tell em all to have UNCLE OBAMA pay for it!

Not on ebay but on Craigslist...I always see ads that say "I want a new car with under 5000 miles and I only have $3000 to spend.

Or I see a lot of "my family is broke and on hard time we want your unused items you're not going to use". Then a week later it's on CL for sale.

It's everwhere.

The excuse of "the economy" bringing lowballers out of the woodwork.
So sick of it..

Craigslist is bad! IHAd SO MANY sob stories when I was trying to sell my drumset it was pathetic! Donate to a church, myson don't have that much money, would you sell just the cymbals, etc. I know it doesn't hurt to ask but be reasonable. Ebay offers were almost as idiotic. If a person don't have at least an offer somewhat near the asking price, don't waste the sellers time IMO.

lol

I have been saying this for months. It is just an excuse for them to be cheap a$$es.

No different than some of the guys (not all of them but some) on here beating you down wanting you to spend time packing, going to shipper, sell something for hardly nothing, eat the pay pal fees, eat the shipping costs, & then answer 6000 emails/pms over a 20 dollar part

sorry for asking for 10 pics and the best price shipped on the "part"... I really needed it BAD and FAST  :p

You are a trip grump.

Hey when I bought that hard to find turbo limited interior from you I never expected pictures or questioned your price which was high but I knew that going in. If you don't want to play the game why get on the field correct?

I remember a guy who got all butt hurt about 8 bucks shipping. Hell, I could'nt stuff the $hit in a publix bag, toss it over a storks neck and get it any cheaper. WTF is wrong with people?

I guess I've just tried to tell myself to get used to the low balling, it's part of selling something. Even before the economy slumped people were low balling. Sometimes just wanting to buy and flip for a profit. But it's just really comical how people on CL complain they "want" a nice shiny low mileage car but only have a couple grand to spend. As if it's still 1980 something. Now when I sell something I just put "firm" next to the price in bold lettering. Also might not hurt to let the buyers know you're not desperate to sell.

Get this one: I had placed 8.95 priority shipping price on 350 photos i was selling.
The guy happend to live in Mass which is 1 state away so it cost me $6. He bittched up & down that i charged him $3 too much.. I said I don't know where the winning bidder lives. if it was west coast it would have cost me the full 8.95.

I told him I use Priority because people want it FAST! some of them expect the item to ship the min they hit the pay button.

he had 10 FB's I guess he is a seasoned Ebayer..

I just love it when these NEWBIES come in on thier high horse & think they know it all.

From now on you should write shipping and handling. That would solve some of that belly aching. I think the sentiment is the economy is bad so everyone will fold just to get money. I bet people are going into car dealers expecting to get a $30k car for $12k then complain because they are bounced out the door.

Oh that was you I saw banned from the local car dealers LOL!

I like that handling idea! ;)

Put $8.95 shipping and handling, and bang 'em a buck or two extra for envelopes and packing peanuts and those free USPS boxes.

Stick it in the fine print in the shipping area.

I hate when sellers do that. :p

Just give me one price shipped and who cares what it costs as long as you know totalled it up front. ;)

West coast you would probably have lost money these days. :frown:
